KastKing Krome Fishing Rod Review
Durability: 5/ 5
KastKing Krome fishing rods use Toray IM8 high carbon, 45 million modulus blanks and Nano Silica resins for high durability. KastKing reinforces the rod and through the reel seat with Kevlar fabric. This provides additional durability and strength. It results in a true performance salmon fishing rod or steelhead trout fishing rod that feels light in your hand but easily handles larger fish.
KastKing compliments their premium blanks with the finest Fuji K-Frame tangle free guides. These guides are very reliable and will handle any mono, fluorocarbon or braided lines. KastKing also uses Fuji ACS & TVS reel seats to make sure your reels stays solid at the base.
KastKing selected carbon fiber handles to ensure reliability when fighting large fish. These handles are extremely durable and easily slide out of rod holders when needed.
Ease of Use: 5/5
The KastKing Krome is very easy to use and has a great feel for many different reasons. It allows for a solid hookset, a long, accurate cast and a longer drift. This allows you to play the larger fish longer to avoid straightening hooks or snapping line. The Krome is lightweight enough to feel smaller bumps, but strong enough to fight the big ones. If you drift fish or use floats this is a really good option.
You’ll be able to avoid fatigue even after multiple fights. The rod would work very well with multiple reels including the Daiwa coastal, the KastKing Speed Demon and others.
Value for Money: 4.5/5
The KastKing Krome Rod isn’t the cheapest rod available but at the price point, its one of the best. We can confidently say that the KastKing Krome Rod is one of the best available for salmon/steelhead for under $200.
